Twinning with Erasmus

There is a busy week ahead to start off February as a group of students from France are welcomed to SIS. Arriving as part of the Erasmus eTwinning programme, the group will have a busy schedule of culture, trips and outdoor adventures. They will also explore some weightier issues as they examine the nature of citizenship and the status of indigenous peoples. 

Thursday is National Sámi Day, and will see a guest invited to the School to talk with the students about the culture of the Sámi people.

With visits to the Vasamuseet, Skansen, and the Nodiskmuseet, trips to the great outdoors and significant locations in the city, our guests will go home with a large slice of Swedish culture and history packed in their bags. 

Let's hope the weather is kind to them – last year saw visitors at this time of year undergo temperatures around -15 degrees – one aspect of Swedish life on which they might choose to pass! We'll report on the Erasmus eTwinning adventures in next month's Dispatch.
